NBC's Last Comic Standing semifinalist, Tyree Elaine has been seen on Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes? (TV One) and Laff Mobb's We Got Next (Aspire). She has also performed all over the country, from clubs, casinos, and colleges to churches and benefits. Currently, you can find her at one of the many world famous comedy venues in LA, such as The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv, and The Comedy Union.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Tyree is fast becoming one of today's most visible up-and-coming performers. Her very first time on stage was in August of 2008 at the JSpot Comedy Club in Inglewood, CA. Although she performed on a dare that night, Tyree soon found that comedy was something she did well. Helping people laugh gave (and still does give) Tyree an indescribable feeling of humanity. She believes that humans need to laugh just as much as they need to eat and breathe.
Tyree also understands that spirituality can be appealing as well as entertaining. She truly believes that laughter is good for the soul. As a Christian, Tyree is much more interested in having a relationship with Jesus, than being traditional. And consequently, she’d like to meet realistic issues with spiritual concepts, while making them funny and relatable. Tyree was recently quoted saying, “The funniest conversations are between me and God, and I think He does most of the laughing."
